What Mom and Dad Said

My mom said forget it, my dad said go to bed, went out to the fire escape, and snuck to the party instead.
First I met this really hot guy and then I started drinking, before I knew it we were upstairs and I was barely thinking.
He was sweet and gentle but tried to take off my clothes, but I was still sober enough to punch him in the nose.
Down the stairs, I then start to scream and yell, I heard a gun shot behind my neck and suddenly I fell.
Dad said, "forget it," mom said, "go straight to bed" so if I had just listened to them would I still be here...dead???
